Set in a 1930s European perfumery, we meet shop clerks Amalia and Georg, who, more often than not, don’t see eye to eye. After both respond to a “lonely hearts advertisement” in the newspaper, they now live for the love letters that they exchange, but the identity of their admirers remains unknown. Join Amalia and Georg to discover the identity of their true loves.
Audition Dates May 5th, 6:00-9:30 PM, May 6th, 7:00 - 9:30 PM
Callbacks: May 8th, 7:00-9:30 PM as needed, at the Black Box Theater located in the Frisco Discovery Center, 8004 N. Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75034 off Cotton Gin Road east of the Dallas North Tollway.

Arpad Laszlo - Delivery boy at Maraczek's. His exuberance is infectious and commitment to his job remarkable. He is ambitious and adorable.
Should look like a teenager.

Ladislav Sipos - Not the brightest employee at Maraczek's. A confidant to Georg, he is an optimistic family man who looks like a huggable father.

Ilona Ritter - Employed at Maraczek'se. She is sexy and learned in the ways of romance, but longing for something more from the game of love.

Steven Kodaly - A well respected and liked employee at Maraczek's. Though he is considered dapper and occasionally charming, he is more of a shallow womanizer. Age range/Look: 20s – 30s

Georg Nowack - An established employee of Maraczek's, resembles a hopeless romantic. Shy, intelligent, and soft spoken.

Mr. Maraczek - Owner of Maraczek's Parfumerie. With a commanding presence, his dedication to the trade is rivaled only by his faithfulness to his wife.

Amalia Balash - The eager new employee at Maraczek's Parfumerie. Despite being a skilled saleswoman, she easily becomes intimated and nervous. Attractive, bright, and a lover of literature. Age range/Look: 20s-30s

Ensemble - 6 – 8 actors, Male and Female presenting. Play Shoppers, Busboy, Restaurant Patrons, Carolers
Cast members will receive a $300 stipend.
Required Bring headshot and resume. Please prepare 32 bars from two contrasting songs. Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder. Selections from the show are acceptable. Bring sheet music in your key, accompanist will be provided. Tracks are not permitted.
Performance Dates July 26th - August 11th
Friday/Saturday 8 pm – Sunday 2:30 pm
(Note – 2 Saturday matinees Aug 3 & Aug 10, no Saturday evening performance Aug 3)
Rehearsals Rehearsals will be Monday – Thursday weeknights 7 – 10 pm and weekends (either Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons) Tech week is Sunday July 21 – 25. No conflicts allowed during Tech week or Performance dates. Be prepared to list all conflicts on weeknights and weekends.
